"Snow"
Snow entered Janet and Don's lives when she turned two, having been bred by Barbara Gilchrist. Cheryl Ostensen had bred Snow to Janet's male, Am Can Ch Coalcreek Perish of Char-Don, "Bear," and Janet finally talked Cheryl Ostensen into letting her have Snow. After she finished her maternal duties, Snow finished her Ch with Janet and then proceeded to take BOS at the LRCSC specialty in 1991.
Snow's influence has carried on down through her sons and daughter's, to their progeny. Snow was bred to Am Can Ch Fawnhavens Kiva Dweller, producing Kory, Fawnhaven Eagle Over CharDon NA WC, who in turn produced Twigs Indiana Boomerang JH.
One of the most influential breedings was Snow to Ch Rainell's Dynasty, which produced Gator, Ch CharDons Renegade of Rochar, who finished his Ch with two back-to-back majors on a specialty weekend, handled by his owner, Rita Wagoner. Gator's sons and daughters have carried on Snow's influence, through Ch. Char-Dons A.J. Spencer For Hire (Gator x Char-Dons Clear Image), Ch Rochar's Whimsical Whitney WC, multiple group placing bitch, (who is greatgrandmother of Ms T's and Char-Don's current girl, Gracie, Rochars CharDon I Believe at Ms T's), and Ch. Rochar's Breezin Along.
Char-Dons Kia, another Snow daughter, never liked showing but was a retrieving fool, driving everybody crazy trying to get them to throw her tennis ball. Her daughters and grandkids have excelled in the obedience, field, and conformation rings. She was bred to Toadd, BISS Ch Ms T's Bo-Mar Been There Done That CD JH, and was the start of the relationship of the Ms T's and Char-Don, with the birth of Desi, SR Ms T's Desert Wind of Char-Don JH and Dakota Serenity of Char-Don CD. She also produced Char-Don Sedgehaven Whyt Choclat, Bob, who was major pointed.
Desi was bred to BISS Ch Kai Den's Black Tie Affair and produced Dusti, Ch SR Ms T's Dusti Winds Over Char-Don CD RAE WC and Rana, SR Ms T's Char-Don Spirit of the Wind JH.
Dusti, bred to BISS Ch Ghoststone's Louie Downtown CD, produced River, Ch Ms T's Char-Don How Love Moves RN, DJ, Am Can Ch Ms T's Maximum Effort RN, Tahoe, Ch Ms T's CharDon Double Diamond, Harry, Ms T's Char-Don Make My Day RE, Lily, Ms T's Char-Don Tiger Lily RE. She was also bred to Ch Chelons Firestorm, and her son, Cash, is currently a Search and Rescue dog.
Down through the years, Snow's legacy has been shown in the many different arenas of labdom, but the most influential has been as the great family pet and has led to the continuing friendship and collaboration of Janet and Don (Char-Don) and Terri (Ms T's).
